Our new blog!

Welcome to our new Little Black Bird blog (that's the LBBB!). Little Black Bird is the label that Mum (Joan) and I (Emily) use for our various handcrafts. We started out more than 18 months ago selling hand-knitted children's garments at the gorgeous Mine Kids in Olinda (http://www.minekids.com.au/) in Melbourne's Dandenong Ranges, and more recently Joan has started producing the most gorgeous patchwork quilts made from recycled woollen jumpers. You can see (and buy!) the quilts on the fabulous Madeit (http://www.madeit.com.au/) -- visit our store: http://www.madeit.com.au/LittleBlackBird.

Before I go on, we must acknowledge our dear sister-/daughter-in-law, Susie, for designing our beautiful LBB logo. It has gone from being swing-tags on our handknits to now being a design feature on Joan's quilts -- one customer recently even requested that the Black Bird be added to a quilt!

And while I'm at it, I must proudly boast about my gorgeous little girl (and Joanie's first grand-daughter), Molly, who was the inspiration for the first LBB quilt, which now has pride of place in her bedroom. Molly is three months old now -- time flies! Pics of her modelling our latest creations are sure to be a feature of this blog.

Anyway, here are a few pics to give you a taste of what LBB is all about. We hope you like it!
